“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.
This is a bold promise and such a beautiful representation of the freedom we get to live in. God, the creator of the universe, has a plan for you! He knows who you are, and He loves you. He has molded, shaped, designed you and has gifted you with spiritual gifts. He cares for you, and He is working out all things for your good and for His glory. My friends, He died for you! We know this truth, but we must constantly remember to preach this to ourselves. If He loved us enough to die for us, don’t you think He loves you enough to honor His promises? He wants good things for you. He wants you to live hope-filled, trusting, and resting in the goodness of the Savior. We don’t have to live defeated, broken, or ashamed. We can live redeemed, encouraged, and full of wonder as we seek after the Father, turning our eyes toward Him, seeking His face, and resting in His goodness.
Lord, thank you for how you love me. You have called me, and I know that in you, I have hope. In you, I know you have a plan for me. You have created me for a purpose, and I want to rest in that today. Help me as I continue to set apart this time and lean more into you. Continue to reveal your goodness and your greatness to me. Open my eyes and let me see your glory.
Today, pray for the Journey. Pray that God would continue to use Journey Church to express and point to the Hope that is in Jesus. Pray that as people take step Jesus would be the focus of everything that they do. Pray they people would continue to connect to Christ, Community, and their Calling.
