When most people think about Easter and the resurrection, they think about the joy, the forgiveness, the grace and the mercy they receive from Jesus’s sacrifice. But what if Jesus saying, “it is finished” on the cross meant He secured more than that? The end of the world is a scary concept. It seems like everyone in the world is trying to either predict it or is afraid of it. Christians live in the tension of knowing we were made for another world and we fight to hold on because we see heaven as a place that isn’t too far away.
