Location Pastors
1. Read Luke 2:8-20. What do you find most striking about the shepherds' experience with the angel and Jesus? How would you describe the transformation they experienced?
2. After encountering Jesus, the shepherds went to share what they had witnessed and heard. Why do you think they were so eager to tell others? How does their response challenge or inspire you?
3. Read 2 Corinthians 5:17. What does it mean to you personally to be a “new creation” in Christ? Can you share about when you experienced this kind of transformation?
4. Read 2 Corinthians 5:18-19. How does understanding that God “reconciled us to Himself” through Christ change the way you view your identity and your purpose?
5. The sermon mentioned common fears about inviting others to church, such as not knowing what to say or fear of rejection. What are some barriers that hold you back? How can the group support one another in overcoming these fears?
6. Think back to a moment when you encountered God in a powerful way. How did that experience change you? How might sharing that story impact someone else?
7. Why do you think personal stories are so impactful when inviting others to Christ? Who in your life might benefit from hearing your story of transformation?
8. Read 2 Corinthians 5:20. What does it mean to be an ambassador for Christ? How does knowing that God has trusted you with His message of reconciliation encourage or challenge you?
9. The sermon mentioned that you have influence with people your pastor may never meet. Who in your life might God be calling you to invite or share your story with this week? How can the group pray for you as you take that step?
10. Make sure to reserve some time to pray specifically for people your group is planning to invite to our Christmas services this coming weekend.
