How to walk in your Anointing
Exodus 30:30
Last week, we discussed how we are Priests and how priests prepare the way for God and people to come together and meet. Priests are marked as “portals” between Heaven and Earth, God and creation, so God’s presence, purpose and will, and wise rule are mirrored and reflected on Earth. This week, we will talk about how Priests do not do this on their own; they have been anointed.
1. What thought or idea from Pastor James’ sermon stood out to you this week?
2. Read Exodus 30:30. How many words can you identify in verse 30 that we don’t use every day? Are you clear on what each one of them means?
3. Read 2 Corinthians 1:21-22. What did God do for us in these verses? What is the outcome?
4. Anointing is an outpouring of God’s power to accomplish the purposes that God has for you. Paul says that just as God anointed the priests to empower them and enable them to fulfill their calling, God has an even greater anointing for us. What are your thoughts on the idea that you have an anointing? Do you know what to do with it?
5. Read Romans 12:6 NLT:" In his grace (Power and favor), God has given us different gifts (a divine enablement) for doing certain things well." Also read 1 Corinthians 12:4-6. According to these verses, what has God given us, and what is it for?

6. Pastor James said that we can discover our anointing at the crossroads of our gifting, our passions, and our experiences. Can you share an experience that you went through that has motivated you to serve others who are now going through the same thing?
7. Read 1 Peter 4:10. God intentionally takes ordinary people and anoints them to do extraordinary work in ordinary life. Your anointing is the powerful presence of God that empowers you and enables you to do EVERYTHING that God has called you to do. Take time as a group to pray that each one of you clearly knows what God has anointed you to do and that you will have the courage to walk in that anointing.
