Prepare…You are a Priest.
Revelation 1:5–6
Everything we do as a church is filtered through our focus on everyone helping someone take steps to follow Jesus Christ. That’s how we’re going to make a difference, and it’s the motivation behind everything we do. This week, we will be exploring who God has called us to be.
1. What stood out to you in this week’s message?
2. Knowing who we are is key to living the life that God has for us. Read Revelation 1:5-6, According to these verses, what are we made for, and what are we called to do?
3. We are called to be Priests. When we know who we are and the power we possess, we will live differently. What comes to your mind when you hear that you are a Priest?
4. Pastor James shared with us what it means to be a Priest. He initially said that “God’s design was for everyone to know Him and pursue Him.” Read 1 Peter 2:5. How does coming together as a church help believers to get to know and experience God more?
5. Read Exodus 32:26. God made an invitation to the whole camp to come forward. The Levites were the only ones who came forward and made themselves available; as a result, God used them to bless others. Can you share a time when you've been blessed after you made yourself available to serve God? How did that impact other people or even the church?
6. Second, Pastor James said as Priests, we are called to ‘Declare God’s Greatness.” Read 1 Peter 12:9. What words did Peter use to describe us? What are we called to do? How does your testimony declare the greatness of God?
7. Finally, Pastor James said that as Priests, we are called to “Prepare the Way for God.” Read Numbers 1:50-51. Only the Levites were appointed to move and set up the tabernacle. The Tabernacle was the place for worship; it was where God would meet the people and bring salvation, healing, hope, and peace. How have you seen the church be a place of salvation, healing, hope, and peace?
8. Pastor James shared the vision that God has placed on his heart; his only ask is that you would be available and pray about how God would want to use you:
• Journey Church Deland Building $3.65 Million

Complete Renovation and Fully Furnished $2,000,000
• Journey Church Daytona Launch $500,000

9. Read 1 Peter 2:5. Being a Priest is not something we have to do; it’s someone we get to be. How exciting is it to think that God is building you to be a tabernacle (a place of salvation, healing, hope, and peace)? Take some time as a group and pray for each other that God would use you to bring glory to Him and hope to the world.
