What Now :: Part 4

1. What stood out to you in Pastor James’ message this week?

2. Can you share a time when fear or worrying not only did not make a situation better but, in fact, made it worse?

3. Read Matthew 6:25-27. Through this series, we have been talking about how God gives us the desires of our hearts. How can trusting in God's provision alleviate anxiety and worry about our future needs?

4. Worry is always about what you think might happen in the future. What has worrying over what to do actually done for you? 

5. Read Matthew 6:28-30 How would you answer Matthew’s question? “If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you?”

6. Pastor James said that one of the greatest lies of the enemy is that God is stingy, that He is holding back in His blessings from you. If God cares for you, He will also take care of you. What are some practical ways we can trust in God's provision, even when it seems like our needs are not being met?

7. Read Matthew 6:31-33. After making the case that God knows you and cares about and knows what’s best for you, He commands you to: “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” What are some tangible steps we can take to align ourselves with God's kingdom and depend on his provision in every aspect of our lives?

8. Read Proverbs 16:3. Pastor James said: "When you trust God in your decision-making, God will work in every decision you make."What actions can we take to demonstrate our trust in God's provision and prioritize his kingdom in our lives?

9. Read 1 Corinthians 10:31 "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." What comfort do you find in this verse? How are you challenged through this verse?
