Journey Summer 22 – Part 4

Watch the Message

1. What is something that has stuck with you through the last four weeks of this series?

2. “When you don’t know what to do, you need to know who to go to.” What are some common things a person might look to when they don’t know what to do? Can you share a time when you looked to the wrong person or thing?

3. James reminded us this weekend that prayer is not informing God, but involving God. How does that change the way we pray?

4. Have you ever prayed a “God, if you will then I will” prayer? How does that differ from the way that Jehosephat prays in 2 Chronicles?

5. What does it mean to you that “Prayer is grounded in the greatness of God?”

6. Fear tends to fill our minds with lies. What are some of the promises of God that you can pray to fight that fear?

7. Here are just a few of the promises of God in scripture. Take turns reading through these as a group.

Isaiah 41:10

Isaiah 26:3

Deuteronomy 31:8
