Focus 2025:

The Story of your Life.

    1. If you could be a character in any story (book, movie, TV show), who would you choose and why? What appeals to you about that character’s story?
    1. We often let things other than Jesus define us. Can you identify one? How has believing that affected your life?
    1. Read John 1:1-3. Because God made you, He knows you. Your life is not random or accidental. How does this differ from the story you’ve been telling yourself?
    1. Read Colossians 1:15-16. Have you ever wondered what God is really like? How does Jesus make God known to you?
    1. Which “box” (popularity, performance, or pleasure) are you most tempted to sit your life on?
    1. What changes in the way we live when we realize that God is the main character of our story, not us? How does that bring freedom instead of discouragement?
    1. Read Ephesians 2:8-10. Paul gives us an important clarification here that salvation is not by works, but salvation is for works. In what ways have you found yourself trying to work for your salvation, instead of doing works because of your salvation?
    1. Three key truths to take away are: you were made BY Jesus, you were made FOR Jesus, and you were made WITH purpose. Which of these truths is most challenging for you to fully embrace in your daily life, and why?
    1. Identify one area where you’ve been living according to the world’s story rather than God’s story. What specific step can you take this week to align that area with God’s truth?
