Who can you invite to join us during our 40 Days journey? We will distribute this year’s 40 Days Devotional on the weekend of February 21 & 22, 2026. Everyone attending that weekend will receive one for free.

  1. If you could have someone pray one specific thing over your life for the next 40 days, what would you want them to pray for and why?
  2. In this sermon, the pastor shared Paul’s prayer from Ephesians 3:14-21. What stands out to you most about this prayer?
  3. The pastor mentioned that Paul “kneels before the Father” when he prays. What does this posture suggest about Paul’s attitude in prayer?
  4. Paul prays for three specific things in this passage. Which of these three requests resonates most with you right now: trusting God completely, experiencing deep-rooted love, or grasping the fullness of Christ’s love?
  5. Read Ephesians 3:16-17a. Paul prays for believers to be “strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being.” What do you think it means to be strengthened in your “inner being”?
  6. According to Ephesians 3:17b, Paul wants believers to be “rooted and established in love.” What’s the difference between being rooted in something versus just knowing about it?
  7. In Ephesians 3:18-19, Paul describes Christ’s love as having width, length, height, and depth. Why do you think he uses these physical dimensions to describe love?
  8. The passage ends with a declaration that God “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20). How does this statement connect to the prayer requests that came before it?
  9. The first application mentioned was to “TRUST Him with every part of your life.” What area of your life do you find most difficult to fully trust God with?
  10. Paul prays that we would “EXPERIENCE the joy of deep-rooted love.” How would you describe the difference between knowing God loves you intellectually versus experiencing that love deeply?
  11. Paul’s prayer assumes that spiritual growth happens in community (“together with all the Lord’s holy people”). How has being in community with other believers helped you grow spiritually?
  12. The sermon introduced a 40 Days commitment involving weekend services, daily devotionals, Scripture memorization, group participation, and sacrifice. Which of these five commitments feels most challenging for you, and how can the group support you?
  13. Consider memorizing Ephesians 3:20-21 this week. How might having these verses memorized encourage you when you’re struggling to trust God’s goodness?

Prayer

“Father, thank You that You are the God from whom every family in heaven and on earth gets its name. I come before You humbly, asking You to strengthen me with power through Your Spirit in the places where I feel weak and uncertain. Help me to trust You with every part of my life, especially the areas I’ve been trying to control on my own. Root me deeply in Your love so that I don’t just know about it in my head, but experience it in my heart. Open my eyes to grasp how wide and long and high and deep Your love really is. I believe You are able to do immeasurably more than I can ask or imagine, so I surrender my limited expectations to Your unlimited power. Work in me and through me for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
